Der Turm von Montparnasse ist hoch, schwarz und sieht eigentlich doof aus, ragt heraus aus einer Umgebung typischer Pariser Wohn- und Geschäftshäuser. Und wie so oft bei solchen Missgeschicken moderner Architektur beherbergt das Ganze Büros oder ein Hotel oder ein Einkaufszentrum. Hier gibt es Büros und Geschäfte und eine Aussichtsplattform. Da muss ich rauf. Ober angekommen ist völlig vergessen, wie der Turm aussieht, interessant ist nur noch, was ich sehe. Und der Ausblick ist WOW. Das Gebäude ist das zweithöchste in Paris, 210 Meter hoch und bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Stadt. So spare ich mir die Stadtrundfahrt und kann alle die Plätze, die ich früher schon besucht habe, von oben und von Neuem betrachten. Und ich sehe zum erstem Mal den Eiffelturm nicht von unten....
The tower of Montparnasse is high, black and looks silly, it springs up out of an environment of typical Paris living and working houses. And like often with those mishaps of modern architecture they house offices, hotels or malls, here offices and a mall and a viewing platform too. I have to go up. High on top I forget immediately the outlook of the building, I'm only interested in the outlook, and that is WOW. The building is the second highest in Paris, 210 meters and offers a gorgeous view onto the city. So I save the money for a sightseeing tour and have a look at all the places I've already been from above. Especially the Eiffel Tower, the first time I didn't saw it from the ground.
