Nun habe ich drei ganz verschiedene, einzigartige Kirchen gesehen, aber ich möchte der geneigten Leserschaft dieses Kleinod nicht vorenthalten, das mehr so erscheint wie unzählige Kirchen überall in Deutschland, Sankt Antonius, eine katholische Kirche nahe dem Karl-Marx-Haus, und das war auch der Grund für meinen Besuch, ich musste auf mein Testergebnis warten, um ins Museum zu können.
Die Kirche ist spätgotisch und asymmetrisch zweischiffig, und hat eine wunderschöne Netzgewölbe-Decke. Die Ausstattung ist eher schlicht, mehrheitlich entsprechend der Entstehungszeit und darum fällt die Rokoko-Kanzel, um so mehr auf. Die Kanzel stammte aus dem Dominikanerkloster, welches durch Napoleon aufgelöst wurde und kam Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts in die Kirche. Vermutlich stammt es aus der Werkstatt des Bildhauers Ferdinand Tietz.
Auch hier gibt es wieder das Thema der Doppelkirche, neben dem Altar im Hauptschiff gibt es einen zweiten im Nebenschiff, der für Gottesdienste in polnischer Sprache, die hier regelmäßig stattfinden, genutzt wird.
Sehr gefallen hat mir auch das Nebeneinander der gotischen Architektur mit den modernen Glasfenstern und die asymmetrische Orgel.

I already saw three different and very unique churches, but I don’t want to withhold to my dear readership this gem, what is more like many other churches everywhere in Germany, St. Antonius, near Karl-Marx-House, and that was the reason for my visit, I needed to wait for the test result to visit the museum.
The church is late Gothic and asymmetric two-nave and got a beautiful ceiling in net vault design. The interior is more plain, mostly remains from the time of its origin and that’s why the rococo pulpit is catching the eye easily. The pulpit came from a Dominic monastery what was closed by Napoleon and was taken to the church in the beginning of the 19th century and it’s believed it’s from the manufacture of the sculptor Ferdinand Tietz.
And again the theme of Double-Church is present, beside the altar in the main nave is another one in the side nave for the mass in Polish language which is held here regularly.
I liked much the coexistence of the gothic architecture and the modern stained glass windows and the asymmetric organ.
What a lovely chance-find.
