Akemashite omedeto gozaimasu - Prost Neujahr! Happy New Year!

Willkommen 2012. Ich bin erste in diesem Jahr, um 16.00 Uhr in Deutschland war hier Countdown für das neue Jahr. Am Abend bin ich noch etwas einkaufen gegangen und habe Tokyo so erlebt, wie ich es erwartet habe, gut organisierter Tumult und Chaos mit System in Supermarkt "Foodshow". Es war wie eine Mischung aus orientalischem Basar und Schlussverkauf bei Woolworth, aber ich habe mir ein schönes Silvester-Neujahr-Festessen gekauft und bin dann noch etwas durch Shibuya gebummelt.
Später, so kurz vor 23 Uhr Ortszeit, habe ich mich auf den Weg gemacht, auf Anraten einer Facebook-Freudin besuchte ich den Honganji-Tempel, den Ort an dem das Bestattungsritual für hide (1964-1998) stattfand.
Der Tempel ist ein buddhistischer, dem Vernehmen nach, es gab Gebete und Gesang und kurz vor Mitternacht wurde an alle Besucher ein kleines Knallbonbon ausgeteilt, dann zählten wir von 10 bis 0 und nun ist 2012. Anschließend konnte man vor dem Tempel Essen und Getränke kaufen, kurz nach 0.00 Uhr begann dann das Schlagen des Gongs, 108 Schläge, um die Sünden des letzten Jahres zu vertreiben.

Welcome 2012. This year I´m the first, in Germany it´s 4 PM as we started the countdown for the new year. In the evening I went shopping and met that Tokyo that I expected, well organised pandemonium and chaos with system at the supermarket "Foodshow", a mixture of oriental bazar and sale at Woolworth, but I bought a fancy feast for myself for Silvester-New Years Day and than I was strolling a bit in Shibuya.
Later that night (11 PM) I went for the Honganji Temple, at the suggestion of a facebook friend. This is the place where the funeral of hide (1964-1998) took place.
The temple is a buddhistic one, there were prayers and singing and before midnight small firecrackers have been given to the visitors, then we were counting from 10 to 1 and now is 2012. Afterwards there were selling food and beverages in front of the temple and short time after midnight began the chime of the gong, 108 strokes, to dispel the sins of the last year.
