Back from Kyoto and time for a break. I didn't do much sightseeing this time, some days were just too wet. This time my hotel was at Odaiba Island, about I often talked already (http://fraumb-far-far-away.blogspot.de/2011/12/spaziergang-durch-odaiba-walk-through.html).
But as the rain stopped a bit, I was brave and went out, together with my new fancy umbrella from the kombini, Japanese for convenience store. It was a bit early for the cherry blossoms, but the plum trees were blooming and the air smells like freshly washed.
On my way back I was convinced the zombie apocalypse is real and I'm among it. My hotel is located between two large train stations and now it's evening at the offices and large numbers of zombies meander to the stations dressed as salary men with cheap black suits and non-coloured ties or office ladies with cheap black costumes and white blouses, all with uniformly weary feet and stare eyes. In that moment I realised how colourful Berlin is, even in the winter time.
And of course I love the monorail, and I have to use it often this time, in the morning, during the day, in the evening...
