Noch mehr Kirschblüten - Omiya Park - Even more cherrie blossoms

When you work full time, it could happen, that there is less time for socializing, but that´s no problem as long as there is holiday and you can catch up on that.
At Instagram I saw pictures posted by my friend PandaBär with cherry blossoms and the hashtag Japan, after a short enquiry it turns out, yes, she is in Tokyo too and yes, of course we meet up.
She is visiting her friend Melli, who is doing a year of work&travel as a graphic designer. Melli takes us to Saitama, to be precise to Omiya, a small town north of Tokyo and we want to see Omiya Park because of...look the head line.
We enter the park at Hikawa Shrine, one of the "great shrines" with a long history and many branches all over Japan, founded in 473 BC and surely there are many interesting things to discover, but not today. Today we want to discover cherry blossoms.
The Omiya Park is ranked one of the top 100 sites for Hanami in Japan. Hanami (japanese) - blossom/flower see. There are winded lanes and of course a small lake in the middle and that one is exactly the reason for the top ranking: the perfect reflection of the blooming trees in the water and of course it´s a great subject to take pictures.
And because it´s a favorite cherry-blossom-watch-place, you find everything you need for a good Hanami. Stalls with food and drinks and knick.knack and toys for the kids and many people, sitting on blue plastic sheds, shoes off, please, eating and drinking and every now and then looking at the cherry trees.
