Like I promised, I'm back. Wide blue sky, I couldn't resist. This time no decision, it's the north tower and the procedure is the same, but the shopping area is different, it's more for oversea tourists, means everyone else than Japan. Hello Kitty, Pokémon, Rilakkuma, Disney and the mascots of the Tokyo points of interest. And of course again a great view onto the city. At the other tower there was cafe, here is a restaurant. I haven't had breakfast now and it's high noon, so why not. Checking the menu is slightly frustrating for picky eaters like me. In my low level Japanese I whine about the whole meat menu to the lady at the cash register and she promised me a fine ratatouille with no dead animal inside. And a big shout out for that from here again.
And while I'm sitting and eat and watch and watch and forget to eat, I'm thinking if the salaryman and office ladies are distracted from work too by the beautiful view. When my Tokyo friend have to go to the city hall, they are curing and swearing about the long waiting time and ineffective work. So, who knows.
At the exit there are beautiful relievos, showing all the points of interest of the capital and the prefectures and a lot of information material for travelers.
And in the yard is a collection of art I already liked, first time I came here in 2011 (http://fraumb-far-far-away.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/shinyuku-west.html).
Resume: all the travel guide book writers were right, it's worth
a visit, if you want to see Tokyo from high above.
